
Basilique Collegiale de Notre Dame Beaune
The Basilique de Notre Dame Beaune is a beautiful 12th-century church performed in the unique Burgundian
Romanesque architectural style in a combination with some gothic elements. In the 16th century a high bell-tower
and chapel was built in addition to the church. Inside the basilique visitors can see the 12th-century statue of
the Virgin Mary with her son and several beautiful medieval tapestries representing her life.
The Burgundy Wine Museum
The Burgundy Wine Museum is housed in the impressive medieval residence of the Burgundy Dukes - a unique building erected in 13th
century. This museum is entirely dedicated to the world famous Burgundy wines, as well as to the process of wine-growing
and its history in the region. Here you can see everything related to the production and consummation of wine from the
ancient times to present day.
The Musee de l'Hotel-Dieu
The Musee de l'Hotel-Dieu is a real masterpiece of the high gothic architecture of Burgundy and Flanders built in the far mid
1440s by the chancellor of Philippe le Bon. This incredible building decorated with very well preserved polychrome roofs with
golden colours served as a hospital until 1985. Inside t he Musee de l'Hotel-Dieu you can admire the altar piece of the Last
Judgement by Rogier Van der Weyden and the wonderful painted and sculpted ceilings.
